Our Mission

"For now we see through a mirror in dimness, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will fully know even as I also was fully known." (1 Corinthians 13:12)

Bethany Hope grew out of our vision to create a leading Bible Study web site resource for people, where study materials for personal or group study could be downloaded free of charge.

EncountersWe believe that God is a missionary God.  "It is not the church that has a mission of salvation to fulfil in the world; it is the mission of the Son and the Spirit through the Father that includes the church." (Moltmann, J. (1964)). We are called into discipleship as missional people, and have the privilege of participating in the mission of God.  As missional people, we may be called to participate in many different ways.  We are ALL called into ministry.

Our ministry, growing out of reverence for a great, awesome and holy God and a personal passion for studying the Bible, is to pastor the flock and encourage believers in their walk of faith through Christ centred discipleship.  This is grounded in the principles of fellowship and discipleship supported by faith, hope and love.  At the heart has to be realised community.

We hope and pray that you will be blessed by the studies you download from this site, and that you may be drawn closer to God. We know that we see only dimly...but oh, what we have seen. We pray that the Christ-light may brighten up your life and that in all things God may be glorified.

A realised community
Many questions have echoed down through the centuries, such as "What is truth?"  Another such question is "What is it to BE church?"  Our understanding of church should never be defined in terms of the building in which we gather; it is always about the people that gather as the body of Christ.
